In addition to attending board meetings, they represent Droughtmaster Australia at industry forums and actively engage with their respective Zone members.

Todd Heyman

Special responsibilities: Member of Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and Constitutional Review Committee.
Qualifications and experience: For nearly 20 nearly years, Todd’s family have been breeding quality commercial Droughtmaster cattle in the Clarence Valley of New South Wales. Todd holds a Bachelor of Business Degree (Griffith) and a Master of Industry Policy (ANU).
Roger Underwood

Special responsibilities: Consititutional Review Committee. Board Representative for Roma Sale Committee, Board liaison representative of NextGen Committe
Qualifications and experience:
The Underwood family has bred commercial Droughtmasters on studs in NW and SW Queensland since the 1970s. Roger has been our Northern Zone Director and held positions on our Technical Advisory and National Sale committees.
Ken McKenzie

Qualifications and experience: Ken was educated at Rockhampton Grammar School and Emerald Agricultural College. His family has been breeding both Stud and Commercial Droughtmasters since 1962 in Central Queensland.
Anna Hicks

Special responsibilities: Board Representative for National Bull Sale Committee and National Female Sale Committee. Board liaison representative of NextGen Committee
Qualifications and experience: Anna is fourth generation Droughtmaster Breeder based in Moura, Central Queensland. Alongside her parents she runs the Billabong Droughtmaster stud and commercial operations as well as her own Stud, Calaanah Droughtmasters. Anna holds a diploma in Agribusiness.
Gus McCormack

Qualifications and experience: Gus and Jen and their three boys run a commercial and stud operation based at Glenmorgan in south west Queensland. Gus’s family have a long history with the Droughtmaster breed. Gus is passionate about the beef industry and holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics.

Jack Stewart-Moore

Qualifications and experience: Jack is a third Generation Droughtmaster breeder at Hughenden in North West Queensland. With his wife and two children, Jack runs a commercial Droughtmaster herd backed up by the Telemon Stud which was established in 1957. Jack holds a Diploma in Beef Production.

Qualifications and experience:Growing up in the Capella district on a mixed farming property, I have been involved in the beef industry all my life. My passion for beef cattle is summed up in a few ways; the “absolute” enjoyment of rump steak and I reckon it’s hard to top, drafting your replacement Droughtie heifers. I encourage a simple and practical approach to things in general.
Clinton Gartrell

Qualifications and Experience: Clinton alongside his wife Jodi-lee and daughter Matilda operate Clinlee Plains, a stud and commercial operation based out of Elgin in the south west of Western Australia.
Clinton has had numerous involvements in the cattle industry including Cattle Council Rising Champion program, Live Export Head Stockman and now holds a position within Elders. Additional industry involvement includes regional shows and within youth cattle programs. He has been a successful member of the Droughtmaster board of Directors since August 2018.
Bronwyn Betts

Special responsibilities: Constitutional Review Committee, Board representative for National Female Sale Committee.
Qualifications and experience: Bronwyn is a second-generation Droughtmaster breeder and along with her husband, Michael Hawkins, operates a small stud and commercial operation in South East Queensland. In addition to breeding and exhibiting stud beef cattle (her great passion), Bronwyn holds professional qualifications and has had extensive experience in both nursing and legal practice. Bronwyn’s formal academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Laws, Bachelor of Laws, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Nursing)

Qualifications and Experience: Michele has over 25 years experience in the Finance and Accounting roles including 11 years as Company Secretary with Company's Limited by Guarantee. Michele holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance), Master of Commerce (Accounting), and has membership in Governance Institute of Australia, Australian Institute of Company Directors and CPA Australia.
