Droughtmaster Beef Heads to Longreach

Droughtmaster Australia is proud to be sponsoring the Rodeo to Rodeo event in Longreach – April 30 – 1 May.

The Road to Rodeo is a new event series created by Isa Rodeo Limited. This series will bring a taste of the legendary Mount Isa Mines Rodeo experience into Queenslander’s own backyards, featuring the signature ingredients of this iconic event including thrilling rodeo action and live Rodeo Rock.

We are delighted to be supporting the inaugural Road to Rodeo Longreach and taking Droughtmaster Beef to this new and exciting event.   Rodeo goers will be treated to Droughtmaster beef over the two day event – from pulled beef sliders, braised beef cheeks and slow roasted Droughtmaster rib fillet in the VIP tent to tomahawks, low ‘n slow brisket and smoked sausages for the general public, this is an exciting opportunity to showcase our beef in a unique setting.

The beef has been sourced from Brisbane Valley Beef (BVB) whose Droughtmaster cattle are bred on the Barkly Tableland and finished on silage in the Brisbane Valley.  BVB Head Chef Jason Peppler will be cooking up a storm in the VIP tent and joining The Shank Brothers on the Community Stage for daily BBQ cooking demonstrations.  He will be sure to be singing the praises of Australia’s natural wonder.
